DiVes Estate Winery is one of the younger wineries in Bulgaria. The winery was established with a main goal of producing high-quality Bulgarian wines.
DiVes Estate Winery has its owns vineyards and grows the most popular wine grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Muscat, Sauvignon Blanc. In addition, we use the Bulgarian indigenous variety of Pamid to produce a high quality rose which when grown by the sea, adopts an inimitable freshness and subtlety. At our very first participation in an International wine competition – Vinaria 2012, we won the Gold medal for our Rosé – Vintage 2011.
Over the years many more medals and awards have followed, from prestigious international wine competitions.

Our greatest honour has been to be recognized for the high quality of DiVes Estate wines at the most prestigious wine competition globally, Decanter World Wine 2014, with the first time ever Gold Medal awarded to Bulgaria, for our Merlo Barrique Special Selection 2012.

Simeon’s Mound

Simeon’s Mound hill is linked to one of the greatest battles in the history of Bulgaria – the Battle of Aheloy. Here, the Bulgarian king Simeon the Great defeated the Byzantine army in a grandiose battle in 917 A.D., thus affirming the power and position of Bulgaria. In honour of Simeon’s victory, we raised a monument named The Winner's Eye, which became a symbol for the winery and is invariably depicted on our wine label.

DiVes Estate Winery is located close to the Town of Aheloy. It was built on the historic hill of Simeon’s Mound which has a magnificent view over the Black Sea coast between Aheloy and Pomorie.

DiVes Winery offers a unique experience of Bulgaria: Aroma sampling of 5 Bulgarian high quality Lavender varieties located on several terraces with magnificent sea views.

Bulgaria is the world leader in lavender growing and oil production after managing to steal the first place from France in just a few short years.

This extraordinary tour starts with the flowering which is typically on the 20th of June every year. Guided tours are provided every day in Bulgarian, English and German.

You’ll be able to see, smell, and admire the different varieties using special techniques. You’ll discover lots of useful information about the lavender from your tour guide.
